Stock donation policy

 

 

Hub Libraries

 

Lewisham hub libraries (Catford, Deptford, Downham) do not generally accept donations. We may make an exception for individual books in pristine condition, either published within the last 9 months or of enduring popularity.

 

Please see the "Authors and publishers" page for a guide for authors wishing to have their books stocked in Lewisham Libraries.

 

The Service does not accept CDs, DVDs, audiobooks, and other audio-visual material.

 

Donors should be advised that the Lewisham Library and Information Service reserves the right to add or discard items without notifying the donors.

 

Community Libraries

 

Lewisham Community Libraries do not currently have the capacity to accept donations. Please redirect donors to local charity shops and independent bookshops instead.

 

Archives and Local History

 

Donations of local history materials for hub library collections are appreciated but they must be unique and in good condition. Lewisham Heritage has a separate accession policy which covers donations. Please forward all enquiries to [email protected].
