Description:
Event DetailsCreate your own mini folded magazine which is also known as a zine! Have fun drawing and writing about the things you love, and share them with your readers.
This workshop is ideal for ages 4-11 but younger siblings are welcome to join us for some colouring. Please supervise your children if they are aged 6 or under. Free, no need to pre-book.
Introduction to zines:
You'll be given a fun information booklet about what zines are, why people make them and how you can make them at home. There will be some short questions for you to draw or write answers to about the things you are a fan of. You can also look at some zines to discover different ways to bind (glue or attach) them.
Zine making:
Let your creativity run wild with crayons, colour pencils, colourful paper and stationary. Draw, write and cut and paste your zine pages. And if you get stuck, we're here to help.
Take home your brilliant new zine and a sticker to celebrate! Hope you can come, and please tell a friend!
This session is brought to you by Em—Dash Press, a South East London based studio + press with an emphasis on self-publishing.
