Conversations around race, identity, and belonging feel different today compared to those of previous generations. The difference isn’t that these experiences have vanished — far from it. The difference is that we now possess the language to name them. And with language comes power. Join author Monique Pennie on Tues. 28th October from 6:00-7:30pm at Crofton Park Library as she shares insights from her book Don’t Call Me Scary in this Black History Month talk, exploring how naming our lived experiences transforms silence into visibility, and why reclaiming language is key to standing firm in power and pride. Book your free ticket via Eventbrite. (https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/new-lexicon-for-old-experiences-tickets-1765099222289)
