Poetry in the Library with Rob Kiely and Cat Chong

Join us for poetry readings and audience Q&A with Rob Kiely and Cat Chong. Robert Kiely's poetry, fiction, and essays have appeared in The Stinging Fly, Ludd Gang, and Los Angeles Review of Books, among others. His books include ROB (Broken Sleep Books), Gelpack Allegory (Veer), simmering of a declarative void (the87press), and Incomparable Poetry, an essay on the financial crisis of 2007-8 and Irish literature (punctum). Cat Chong is a poet, essayist, and publisher who completed their PhD in medical humanities at NTU, Singapore as a Nanyang President’s Graduate Scholar in 2024. Their publications include Plain Air: An Apology in Transit (Broken Sleep Books, 2021), dis/content: An Archive of These Dreamings (dis/content, 2021), 712 stanza homes for the sun (Broken Sleep Books, 2023), and Dear Lettera 32 (Permeable Barrier, 2024). Their work has been published and exhibited internationally, appearing in publications such as Bloodaxe Books, Ethos Books, Ache Magazine, Bad Betty Press, Footnote Press, and Singapore Unbound. Their work has also been featured at festivals such as the Ledbury Poetry Festival and Singapore Writer’s Festival. They are a co-founder of the Crested Tit Collective, the digital editor at Osmosis Press, and an editorial assistant at Pamenar Press. They also work in Borough Market as a cheesemonger.
