Join CJ De Barra (they/them) from the Notts Queer History Archive as they tell trans stories and talk about the importance of radical archiving. You’ll meet trans women and men whose incredible stories highlight the simple fact – we have always been here. This talk will discuss the need for radical archivists and share how you can get started on a journey of self, and community exploration CJ is donating their fee to The Pastel Project. A trans led organisation who are working on making Nottingham the UK first trans safe city. They have just launched a campaign asking businesses to register as trans safe spaces following the Supreme Court ruling – this is UK wide. They are working with them to campaign for plaques to be added to queer, and trans historical spaces in the city.
