Description:
Book NowExperience the world of cinema from a different perspective with a specially curated season at Deptford Library Cinema Club from Stims Collective, fresh off their programming at the BFI and the Barbican. Presenting three film screenings on the 3rd, 10th and 24th of July that reflect upon the neurodivergent lens, how a film - it’s themes, it’s characters, it’s aesthetics - can convey a different way of being in the world, culminating in a talk and community discussion with Stims Collective member Sam Chown Ahern on Thursday 31st July.
During this exclusive talk with Sam, we will explore how these films could reflect a neurodivergent frame of mind, and whether a film can be unintentionally neurodivergent.
Come and join the discussion in a safe and welcoming environment, with biscuits and refreshments provided. You are welcome to sit anywhere you like in the space and move around. Please feel free to drop in and out of the session as you wish, and you do not need to verbally participate if you don't want to.
All events are wheelchair accessible, and all films are screened with subtitles.
