Book NowJoin us for an afternoon of business support, training and talks, brought to you by BIPC Lewisham, your local Business and Intellectual Property Centre. We are celebrating a year of supporting local entrepreneurs, start-ups and established businesses through our forums, training, one-to-ones and business resources.
The event will run from 1 - 7pm at Catford Library with a programme of speakers, panels, one-to-one support, networking, training and information. You will have a chance to connect with local organisations which offer business support, our BIPC Lewisham Ambassadors, Business Officers from Lewisham Council, and many more.

1 - 1.30pm
Refreshments and registration. Find out about local business support from the information stands. Take the opportunity to book a one-to-one business support session (sessions run from 2.30 - 3.30pm). Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis.
1.30 - 2.30pm
Panel event with our BIPC Lewisham Ambassadors and other local businesses including Amaze Associates (business and work coaching), Authentic Worth (writing and publishing), Chayes Boys Book Club (creating opportunities for young Black boys) and Facework (equipping people to face the changing world of work).
Business Officer Mark Berbeck will chair the panel event and introduce the local opportunities available.
Theme: Fireside Chat - the panel will speak about what they do, their journey so far, their challenges and how they overcome them.
This segment will end with a question and answer session in which you'll have the chance to pose your questions to the panel.

COBRA Complete Business Reference Advisor training session.
3.30 - 4.15pm
Local opportunities section:
Dean Williams from Goldsmiths speaking about embracing AI in your business.
Chris Henry from Lewisham Local speaking about the Lewisham Local discount card and the Lewisham Community Exchange of goods, services and resources.
Sarah King and Gbemi Shitta from the Federation of Small Businesses speaking about local opportunities.
4.30 - 5pm
Grant Finder database training session.
5.05 pm
Seema Rampaseed from The British Library speaking about Value Proposition: trends, values, sustainability and wider issues. Business Resilience and Success – hear about the business tools and strategic information available that you can use to develop and succeed in your business. Seema will also highlight the resources and support available at the Business & IP Centre at the British Library.
5.20 pm
Rochelle Tomlin from NatWest will take you through the Business Model Canvas, a one-page ‘road map’ of your business. Examining the 9 key areas of a business model to determine the best practises for your business. You’ll come away with a sense of where small, medium and large changes could be made to your business model to improve the way you operate for maximum profitability and rapid growth.

Councillor Walsh will speak about the role of libraries as services and spaces for personal and business growth.
5.45pm
Councillor Powell will speak about the role of the council in supporting local entrepreneurship and new employment.
6pm
Hear about the latest opportunities for entrepreneurs, businesses and NGOs with Principal Small Business and Enterprise Officer, Mark Berbeck.
6.05 - 7pm
Refreshments and networking. A chance to speak to the guest speakers and fellow entrepreneurs, and to visit the information stands.
