Comic Workshop with Emilia McKenzie

Join author/ artist Emilia McKenzie for an interactive comic-themed session in the library. Emilia will share short excerpts from her new graphic novel 'But You Have Friends' and talk about her experience of telling a personal story about friendship and loss through the medium of comics. You will then have the opportunity to get hands-on with making a comic of your own. You'll be guided through a process including brainstorming, scripting and sketching and will end the session with a 6-panel comic telling a story from your life which can be as serious or as silly as you like.
