Description:For the Imagined World's Series, we invite you to make a friend out of clay! Using the wonderful children’s books at the library for inspiration, and the power of our imaginations, we will use air drying clay to bring a new friend to life. This might be someone imaginary that you already have in mind, or maybe a character from a storybook that you love. Whatever you make, it will be your own special creation. So that your friend has enough time to dry, it will be available for collection from the library the following week. Once it is safely at home with you, you can paint and seal the sculpture if you want to, but it can also be left as it is.
Grace is a ceramic artist and teacher. She teaches adults and children and loves to see how people connect to the material and what they make. Whether it's someone's first time using clay or they have worked with it before, there are always unique and exciting creations to admire at the end of a workshop.
