Age Exchange is delighted to be holding an exhibition of art and poetry by Vesna Okaikoi

Her creative inspiration comes from her love of nature and its beauty – from her loves, losses and new beginnings. Her poetry, in particular, is drawn from her memories of her childhood.

"I have always written down my thoughts and feelings about my life’s adversities, highs and lows. But I hadn’t tried art or thought I could paint or draw until after my diagnosis for Young Onset Dementia. Then I started coming to Age Exchange to take part in groups that enabled me to explore my story through visual art as well as poetry.

I hope you enjoy my art and my poetry and that maybe it helps you look at people and see beyond the cover."
